The glory hole has a 14" inch opening and is 22" deep. The frame is made from 1 1/2" square tubing that holds the barrel made from 14 gauge steel.
The combustion system consists of the tried and true Giberson Burner along with a 245 cfm blower, a fine tune high pressure hydraulic needle valve, and an on/off gas ball valve. It uses about 1 gallon of propane or natural gas an hour. For safety, there is a 120 volt ASCO gas auto shut off valve system. If the power goes out, the gas will shut off automatically and has to be reset manually by a push of a button.
The inside of the glory working space is 18 inches round and 22 inches deep. The liner is 2 inches of 2800 degree frax for fast heat up, with a thin layer of brick on the bottom to protect the frax from glass droppings. The heat ring is cast with a 14 inch hole from a high temp Mizzou castable rated for 3000 degrees. The doors are also a mizzou casting with a steel frame and reinforcement. The doors open with a 12v actuator controlled by a foot pedal.
The pipe warmer can be added to the left side for $300 and will heat up to 4 blow pipes. The 3' track and yolk can be added for $350.
